Description:
The ICNS is a system built to support concept based searches in ICU notes. It demonstrates a range of processing functions required to create effective semantic based search, such as: automatic spelling correction, acronym and abbreviation expansion, translation of queries into SNOMED CT concepts.
The URL page has a short demonstration video highlighting its functions. A set of search queries are available in the interface for the user to explore how to use the system.
ICNS has been installed in the Intensive Care Unit of the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney, and is used regularly for investigation of issues about individual and groups of patients.
