Description:
MetaMap maps terms occurring in text to UMLS Metathesaurus concepts. As part of this mapping process, MetaMap tokenizes text into sentences, phrases, and words. MetaMap maps the noun phrases of the text to the best matching UMLS concept or set of concepts that best cover each phrase. The MetaMap Java API provides java programs with programmatic access to the MetaMap mapping engine.
Please Note: The MetaMap Java API requires that you download and install a local version of MetaMap.
This release contains the set of Java Classes that comprise the API and MetaMap's Mapping Engine Server.
